By making an appointment and accepting registration on the list of patients who have presented for a medical service at an AMC Clinic location, or accepted online consultation, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of accessing medical services at the AMC Clinic.

The terms and conditions may be changed by the site administrator, hereinafter referred to as "Administrator", without prior notification to the persons using the site, hereinafter referred to as "Users". Once the modified terms and conditions are published on the Site, they automatically become applicable. We therefore suggest that you periodically review the most recent version of the terms and conditions at any time on this page.

It is your responsibility to check the page regularly to note any changes. If you use the site after the changes have been made, it means that you agree to them.

                                                                        TERMS AND CONDITIONS - ONLINE CONSULTATIONS www.amc.md

  1. Online consultations are a service in the telemedicine category, which allow doctor-patient interaction in an online environment through electronic means of communication. The online consultation service is available as an alternative to consultations in the presence of the patient in the doctor's surgery, is not intended to replace specialist medical consultation and is limited in terms of diagnostic possibilities.
  2. Medical information provided by doctors is given only on the basis of the symptoms you describe. It is the patient's responsibility to provide as accurate or complete a description as possible of the symptoms, general health, medication used or treatments indicated by other doctors and not fully treated, medical history and any possible external factors with which the patient has come into contact (e.g. people with communicable diseases, travel, substances of any nature, etc.).Given the technological and legislative limitations at this time, accessing this service is your declaration that you understand the limitations of the online consultation service as explained in this document.
  3. Given the level of privacy and security required to access this type of service safely, online consultations are only accessible via the Google Meet platform, both desktop and mobile versions. In order to access the service, it is necessary either to install the free Google Meet communication app, available for Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS operating systems, beforehand. Additionally, access to a functioning video camera and microphone is required, as well as an internet connection that allows interaction with the doctor.
  4. AMC assumes no liability if the online consultation cannot take place or is interrupted due to the patient's equipment or internet connection, in which case the consultation will take place at another time. Consultations will be provided by AMC doctors, primarily from the medical offices located in the clinics where they operate and in special cases at home, with the assurance of doctor-patient confidentiality. The patient is in turn responsible for ensuring confidentiality in the area from which he/she accesses the consultation.
  5. The communication network, equipment, including audio-visual equipment, through which the AMC offers online consultations are secured and the doctor's access to the consultation session is through strong unique credentials.
  6. The application used is Google Meet.   7. Access to the application by patients will be in Visitor format, without the need to create an individual account. The data will be processed through Google Meet and will transit Google servers located in the European Union.
  8. The consultation session will not be recorded, and no images or voiceprints will be stored by AMC as a result of the online consultation session. It is forbidden to record it by the patient. Otherwise, the doctor will stop the recording at the moment he/she notifies it, reminding the patient of the prohibition. In the event of a re-registration, the patient will be denied access without the possibility of a new appointment and the usual rules for the use of AMC services will apply.
  9. Medical information that the doctor obtains or determines during the consultation will be noted in the patient's medical report, just as in a clinical consultation in the office.
  10. Given the technological and legislative limitations at this time, accessing this service is your declaration that you understand the limitations of the online consultation service as explained in this document, as follows:
    - Online consultations, without the physical presence of the patient in the office, are provided only to certain medical specialties and have certain characteristics;
    - Online consultations can only be offered for conditions of at most medium severity, involving a good general condition of the patient, with symptoms of recent onset of up to a few days.
    - Online consultations may also be offered after previous visits to interpret test results and possibly assess how the condition is recovering.
    - Online consultations will not be able to involve a full clinical examination (no vital sign measurements, no clinical data from palpation or auscultation of the patient).
    - Depending on the findings of the doctor, online consultations may end either with simple recommendations with instructions to follow, or with recommendations for a specialist clinical consultation or investigations, and in some cases a reassessment in the virtual clinic may be necessary.
    - The doctor will not be able to issue prescriptions (e.g. prescriptions requiring special prescription forms - "green prescriptions" - cannot be issued, no compensated prescriptions for acute conditions can be issued).
    - The medical report of the online consultation, including the recommendations made at the end, will be included in the patient's medical record.
    - The patient is asked to take into account the recommendations made by the doctor and not to exceed them. The attending physician and the AMC disclaim all liability if the patient does not follow these recommendations. In cases where the recommendations made in the online consultation do not improve the symptoms presented, the patient has a duty to seek a new opinion. If symptoms worsen or adverse reactions to the recommended medication occur, the patient should call the emergency service 112/go to the First Aid Department.
  11. For the use of the online consultation service, all the rules for accessing the AMC services mentioned in the first chapters of this document apply, with the necessary modifications. The online consultation service is available as an alternative to consultations in the presence of the patient in the doctor's surgery. Access to this service represents the patient's consent to the processing of his/her image and voice under the conditions set out above, as well as acceptance of all terms and conditions included in this section.

Accuracy of billing and account information

  1. You agree to provide complete and accurate data regarding your account information for all purchases made.
  2. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including email address and phone number so that we may contact you when necessary.
  3. We reserve the right to refuse any order that is placed. If there is a change, or an order is cancelled, we will notify you using the details provided to us at the time the order was placed.
  4. By registering an appointment on the site, you agree to the form of communication (telephone or e-mail) by which we conduct our business.
  5. You can make appointments on the site for the services you require and complete your order by making payment using one of the methods expressly indicated.
  6. The scheduling of an online consultation/discussion, without the successful completion of the payment for the service, does not imply the automatic booking of the service.

Cancellation of purchased programming / services

  1. In case of cancellation of the service with less than 3 working days, 100% of the cost of the paid service will be retained, without the possibility of return.
  2. In case of cancellation of the appointment with 4-12 working days, the rescheduling will be made on another available date, by mutual agreement.
  3. In case of cancellation with more than 12 working days, it is possible to reimburse the payment within 14 days!

The payment will not be returned:

  1. If a service has been purchased that has already been provided in full (that has been fully benefited from).
  2. If the User has not logged in at the date/time of the video conference appointment without giving at least 3 working days' notice.  
  3. In case of no-show at the date/time of the appointment at the AMC clinics, without prior notice of at least 3 working days.    
  4. If you have purchased a service that was provided to you in part, but was part of a promotional package, received a discount, rebate or advantage over the list price per item but was not used in full for reasons beyond AMC's control.

Refund policy for purchased appointments/services

  1. Any request for refunds, returns or reimbursements for services rendered should be sent to info@amc.md and should contain the following details:
    - Name, Surname;
    - IDNP;
    - Telephone;
    - E-mail;
  2. As soon as your request has been received, an e-mail will be sent to you within 24 working hours informing you that we are aware of your request for a return. You will then receive a notification that your request has been approved or rejected.
  3. If your request is approved, we will agree with you what service or services you can purchase instead.
  4. If the payment is approved, it will be reimbursed within 14 calendar days. The return of payment will be made in full!

Conditions for refunds/exchanges of services

  1. If the doctor has not connected to the consultation/online discussion at the date/time of the prior appointment, a later date/time is agreed upon for the User to receive the requested service.
  2. If the doctor is not available, the Platform Administrator reserves the right to redirect the User's request to another doctor or to propose other services of the same value.
  3. If a service has been purchased but not used, you may request that it be exchanged for another service of identical value.
  4. If you have bought a service which has been provided in part, you can ask for the rest of the service to be replaced by another of the same value.
  5. If you have purchased a service that has been provided in part, but was part of a promotional package, received a discount, rebate or advantage over the list price per item, and you wish to exchange it for another service, then the calculation of services already provided will be made at full price.

AMC offers no guarantee that:

  1. The information will meet all your requirements.
  2. Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.
  3. The results that may be obtained from the use of information obtained from online advice will be accurate or reliable.
  4. The quality of any products, services, information or other materials purchased or obtained by you online will meet all requirements.
  5. Any program errors will be corrected.

Changes to images and prices

  1. Prices of our services are subject to change without prior notice. We reserve the right to discontinue or change a service (or part of its content) at any time without prior notice.
  2. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, price change or suspension of the service.

Limitation of liability

  1. If any material made available on the site, posted by AMC, third parties or users is believed to violate copyright or any other rights, please contact us.
  2. In providing advice/responses via the www.amc.md website, doctors are obliged to act with competence and prudence, taking into account the privacy policy, professional ethics, medical confidentiality in strict compliance with applicable law.
  3. Users assume responsibility for their choice of doctor and the information provided to them in seeking medical advice/recommendation.
  4. For sections of the site that may contain opinions of readers, the responsibility for the content of the opinions lies entirely with their authors. AMC reserves the right not to publish opinions that are contrary to the terms and conditions of use or that it considers harmful in any way to its own image, partners or third parties.
  5. AMC assumes no responsibility for situations in which the user publishes his/her address or any other personal data, on his/her own initiative, in a public message on any of the AMC pages.
  6. Users shall use the information provided at their own risk and in the event of any damage arising from the use of the online services or advice received, users agree that the Administrator shall be absolved of all liability.
  7. You agree that we may discontinue a service for an indefinite period of time or permanently remove it from our list without prior notice of such actions.
  8. We will not be liable: the AMC Clinic, our directors, employees, affiliates, agents or contractors for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings or similar damages, or damages of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the service or any content posted, transmitted or otherwise made available through the service provided, even if advised of the possibility thereof.
  9. Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform on time and/or improper performance - in whole or in part - of any obligation incumbent upon it, if the failure to perform or improper performance of that obligation was caused by force majeure, as defined by law, including the hypothesis of temporary/definitive cessation of activity on the basis of a regulatory/administrative act or a provision of a public authority.
  10. The AMC reserves the right to modify, revise or supplement these rules. Any modification will be made public on this page and will come into force as soon as it is posted on the website.
